CHICAGO - illiNews -- Pregis®, a global supplier of protective packaging, mailing and bagging solutions and flexible packaging, announces the launch of the Pregis Sharp™ Lynx 18 automated bagger. The small-format, all-electric system increases outbound packing speed in space-constrained operations and runs both paper and poly mailers up to 18" wide.
As ecommerce fulfillment evolves, retailers, 3PLs, and brands are managing changing order profiles and demand spikes that can strain packing lines. The Sharp Lynx 18 delivers up to four times the output of manual packing and can adapt to real-time workflow needs, helping teams eliminate bottlenecks and support growth with confidence.
"The market has made it clear that growth shouldn't come with tradeoffs," said Joey Phister, President of AM&B and Systems at Pregis. "The Sharp Lynx platform was designed to help customers scale quickly without being limited by system constraints. By reducing the footprint and removing the need for compressed air, Lynx 18 brings efficient bagging to high-volume environments where it was previously out of reach."

Lynx 18 combines a compact footprint with an all-electric design that eliminates the need for compressed air, allowing it to be placed and relocated without dedicated infrastructure. This makes it well suited for environments such as ship-from-store locations and satellite packing stations, where teams need to adapt layouts quickly during peak seasons or shifting workflows.
The system runs both paper and poly mailers, so operations can adjust packaging formats as sustainability goals and customer expectations evolve. Fast, simple changeovers help teams switch materials with minimal downtime.
The Sharp Lynx platform expands the Pregis Automated Mailing & Bagging portfolio, which is built around easy operation, material choice and consultative implementation support, helping teams increase throughput without adding labor.
The Lynx 18 will initially launch in North America, with plans to expand into European markets. Pregis Automated Mailing & Bagging supports customers across Europe through regional operations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
