Naperville Police Arrest Bolingbrook Man for Unlawful Recording in Public Restrooms

~ Naperville Police have made an arrest in connection to the discovery of hidden cameras in public restrooms at a local gym. On August 24, 2025, 47-year-old Erick Palacios of Bolingbrook was taken into custody and charged with 11 counts of Unauthorized Video Recording and Live Video Transmission.

The investigation began on March 22, 2025, when Naperville Police responded to a report from an employee at Title Boxing Club on Plainfield-Naperville Road. The employee had found small cameras hidden in two bathrooms at the gym. Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify Palacios as a suspect. It was discovered that he had been a member of the gym at the time the cameras were found.

A search warrant was executed at Palacios' residence, located on the 600 block of Kingsbrooke Crossing in Bolingbrook. During the search, electronic devices were seized which allegedly contained videos and photographs of multiple victims. These recordings were taken between January and March of 2025.

Palacios has been charged with one count for each identified victim, making it a total of 11 Class 4 felony charges. He turned himself into police on August 24th and was then transported to Will County Jail.

The Naperville Police would like to remind both the public and news media that these charges are merely accusations and that Palacios is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. They also urge anyone with information or concerns regarding this case to come forward and contact them immediately.
