NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ On Wednesday evening, the Naperville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a 911 call reporting a possible fire at a residence on Harbor Court. The call came in at 7:46 p.m., prompting the ECC to immediately dispatch a general alarm assignment.
The assignment consisted of three engines, two ladder trucks, two medic units, one heavy rescue, and two battalion commanders. Upon arrival, the first responders completed a thorough survey of the structure and established command on the scene. They reported seeing smoke coming from the rear of the building.
After further investigation, it was determined that there was an active fire in the kitchen of the residence. Thankfully, all occupants were safely out of the building. Fire suppression companies quickly extinguished the remaining flames and continued to overhaul the area to ensure that all smoldering embers were put out.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted by the Naperville Police Department on site. The estimated damage to the property is $10,000 and it has been deemed habitable after review by the City of Naperville Transportation, Engineering and Development (TED) Business Group.
According to officials, the cause of the fire was accidental and there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The swift response and efficient actions taken by emergency personnel helped contain this potentially dangerous situation.
