Fortunately, all occupants were safely evacuated from the building. Fire suppression companies quickly deployed a handline and were able to extinguish the fire in the attic space. Crews then worked to overhaul the area and ensure that any hidden embers were completely extinguished to prevent any further hazards.
The Naperville Fire Department received assistance from both the Naperville Police Department and Bolingbrook Fire Department at the scene. The estimated damage from the fire is $50,000 and an investigation into its cause is currently underway. The home has been deemed uninhabitable until it can be reviewed by the City of Naperville TED Business Group.
