CHICAGO - illiNews -- Pregis®, a global leader in protective packaging, mailing and bagging, and flexible packaging solutions, appoints John Breber as vice president of mergers and acquisitions. Breber will oversee all aspects of the company's M&A strategy including opportunity identification, strategic fit assessment, valuation, deal structuring, and integration planning.
A 15-year Pregis veteran, Breber brings extensive commercial leadership experience across sales, product management, and customer service. Most recently, he led the Western U.S. region, overseeing markets west of the Rockies, incorporating British Columbia, Alberta, and northern Mexico. During his tenure, he drove significant growth and strengthened strategic partnerships.

Pregis continues to build upon an active pipeline of acquisition opportunities across North America and Europe, with potential expansion into emerging geographic markets and adjacent segments, strengthening the company's position as a global leader in protective packaging, flexible packaging, coatings and material science.

Breber holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and reports to Chief Innovation Officer Tom Wetsch. He partners closely with the company's executive leadership and external stakeholders to identify companies with strong cultures, unique value propositions, and talented teams that complement existing Pregis capabilities.
