A single gutters website produced 211 inbound calls and 37 converted leads in July 2026 on Bing organic search, while Google sent seven clicks, according to data published through pay-per-call network Lead Smart Inc.
MUNDELEIN, Ill. - illiNews -- A local service website that lost almost all of its Google search traffic generated 211 inbound phone calls, 37 converted leads and $920.01 in revenue during July 2026 from Bing organic search alone, according to figures published by affiliate publisher Mohsin Momin through Lead Smart Inc, a US pay-per-call affiliate network for home services.
Search console data for the same month shows how far the two indexes had diverged for the site, which serves the gutters vertical. Bing delivered 331 clicks from 10,300 impressions, a 3.23 percent click-through rate. Google delivered seven clicks from 6,900 impressions, at an average position of 67. Over the trailing twelve months Google served 131,000 impressions and returned 37 clicks in total.

The conversion of that traffic is the notable figure: 331 Bing clicks produced 211 phone calls, so roughly two in three visitors from Bing dialled the business. Of those calls, 169 were completed and 37 converted into billable leads, with a top payout of $50 per lead on installation and replacement search terms.
"We always focus on Google for traffic because of its higher user base," Momin said. "But sometimes the search engine with the lower user base gets you earnings that Google doesn't."
The site was registered in 2025 on a partial match domain and built from a nationwide script generating one page per US city, with services targeted inside each city page rather than on separate service pages, and cities interlinked from state hubs.
Momin identified two conditions that decide the outcome. Bing indexes more slowly than Google, taking days to several weeks before a new site is crawled, and page speed is not optional: a slow site will not produce a phone call even when it earns the click.

"Publishers write a site off the moment Google drops it, and they are throwing away revenue," said Matthew Zivkovic, founder of Lead Smart Inc. "The non-Google index is less contested, and in pay-per-call the only thing that matters is whether the visitor picks up the phone."
Lead Smart Inc is a pay-per-call and lead generation affiliate network for home services, founded in 2008 and named to the Inc. 5000 in 2023 at No. 2,449. It has paid more than $50 million to affiliate publishers and publishes minimum expected payouts across 417,983 ZIP code and service combinations.
