CHICAGO, April 15, 2024 ~ Chicago-based renewable energy development and repowering company, PivotGen, has recently announced the appointment of Robert Dewechter as their new Senior Vice President of Asset Management. With over 35 years of experience in the energy industry, Robert brings a wealth of expertise in asset management and multi-asset energy operations to the company.
Prior to joining PivotGen, Robert served as the Regional Vice President for Carlyle Power Partners' Cogentrix Energy. In this role, he oversaw assets across the northeast (PJM) and Texas (ERCOT). Before that, he held key positions at LS Power and Brookfield Renewable Energy Group, managing assets in diverse energy investment fund portfolios and in the generation portfolios of hydroelectric and wind energy facilities.

Robert holds an MBA in Financial Management from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business. He also has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal & Fluid Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
In his new role at PivotGen, Robert expressed his excitement for the opportunities to optimize the performance and longevity of their renewable energy projects. "I am eager to work with the team and contribute to PivotGen's mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions," he stated.
With Robert's extensive experience and expertise, PivotGen is confident that he will be instrumental in helping them achieve their goals as they continue to grow their portfolio of renewable energy projects.
