New investments demonstrate company's commitment to service excellence and innovation within scleral lens industry
CHICAGO - illiNews -- Visionary Optics, the leader in scleral lens innovation and technology, positioned itself for continued growth with new investments and expansions in several key areas including technology, staff, and customer experience. The company opened a new corporate headquarters location this month and will launch a new ordering management system later this year.
Earlier this year, Visionary Optics launched the Latitude scleral lens, a revolutionary contact lens with a uniquely contoured design that allows for an exact fit to the corneal, and scleral/conjunctival surfaces.
In order to accommodate increased customer demand of Latitude and its other specialized contact lens lines – Europa, Jupiter and Elara – Visionary Optics expanded its manufacturing capacity with investments in their lab in new lathing equipment and new specialized machinery to manufacture the completely contoured Latitude lenses. A new auto-loader and robotic arm were also added to the manufacturing line to allow the company to manufacture 24x7x365.
