Business leaders, early-stage investors announce formation of Laser Safety Compliance, LLC

CHICAGO - March 5, 2019 - illiNews -- Sergio Cordova, an experienced early-stage investor and experienced Laser Safety Officer, will lead the company. Mr. Cordova and Mr. David Jackson established Laser Safety Compliance LLC in 2018 after regularly observing egregious laser safety violations in the industry.

The poor track record of laser safety compliance and safety laser injuries is well known. Laser safety ranks in the middle of the pack for safety overall, despite the fact that it consistently outpaces other marking system implementations on a per-capita basis. Laser investments continue to accelerate, but investment in safety must be promoted because many corporations are not fully aware of the risks and their responsibilities in laser safety compliance.

In an effort to encourage laser safety across the nation, Laser Safety Compliance LLC is in the process of developing relationships with the FDA/CDRH, laser companies and manufacturers to bring apps, training and awareness, safety audits and safe laser enclosures to the industry.
