Proven Healthcare Leader Rodemil ("Rod") R. Fuentes, MHA Joins CareWell Health as COO
EAST ORANGE, N.J. - illiNews -- CareWell Health Medical Center, Essex County's premier independent, acute care hospital, announces the addition of Rodemil ("Rod") R. Fuentes, MHA, as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Fuentes will help manage CareWell Health's rapid growth to ensure that its patients and staff members continue to have the high-quality, personal experience for which the hospital is known.
Bringing national and international experience in healthcare leadership, Fuentes was most recently COO at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA – the largest Community Hospital in the Department of Defense. Additional prior experience includes executive leadership roles at Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (South Korea), Kimbrough Health (Ft. Meade, MD), BG Sams Ambulatory Care Center (Japan), and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, MD). Fuentes also brings two decades of serving in the US Army, including three tours in Iraq, and is now retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
