Creating Art During The Pandemic Artist Cynthia Warden Launches Original Art Series Featuring Events Of 2020 and Beyond

LOS ANGELES - illiNews -- In January 2020 Los Angeles based artist Cynthia Warden began her ongoing Vision 2020 2020 Vision series of oil paintings focusing on the political, economic and social events in real time for the year. The project began in early January 2020 and continued throughout the year culminating in February 2021 after the Presidential Inauguration, the second Impeachment Trial and Acquittal of President Donald Trump. What developed is a series of 30 paintings, approximately one every 2 weeks for the entire year and beyond. The series is now showcased on the website www.therealtimeartist.com.  Each painting includes a background of the newsworthy events happening at that time.

"I was inspired by King Alfred of England (reigned 871-99) who decided to document his reign through art and books in real time to preserve the history of events that shaped his desire to unify England against the Vikings. Starting in March 2020 we were in lockdown so it was good timing to continue the series" Warden said.  As the months progressed the Pandemic, Cancel Culture, the Presidential Election, riots and civil unrest all became subjects for the series.

The Vision 2020 2020 Vision was created out of a love for art, history and interest in documenting what was becoming a very pivotal year and beyond for America.

The Real Time Artist is continuing the journey painting "The Next Chapter." This series will focus on the continued current events of the day now that the Biden Administration is in power as we all navigate these times of change and the challenges of the future.
