Everything Policy aims to bring Madison to the Policy Education Program this fall after a successful beta test
ANNANDALE, N.J. - illiNews -- Annandale, New Jersey — Everything Policy, a nonprofit civic education organization, announced the launch of Madison, an AI tool that translates complex legislative proposals into plain, everyday language. Madison is designed to help citizens understand what Congress and state legislatures are voting on. For students, it goes further by building their foundational knowledge of how the legislative process works and allows them to think critically about the policies that shape their lives.
What Madison Does
Madison provides plain-language explanations of current bills and resolutions at the federal and state level, as well as landmark legislation from the past. Consistent with Everything Policy's facts-first, 360° approach, Madison presents legislative information without editorial bias, giving users the full picture and leaving judgment to them.
Madison directly supports the Policy Education Program, which has now reached 51,947 students across 766 schools and 1,249 classrooms nationwide. Teachers can use Madison to help students explore how Congress works, trace the history of major laws, and sharpen the research and critical thinking skills they need to participate in civic life.

Early Results: What Teachers and Students Said
Everything Policy recently completed a beta test of a prototype version of Madison in high school classrooms. Teachers praised Madison's usefulness in teaching about Congress and reported a meaningful impact on students' research skills. A teacher added, "Madison presents challenging material in a very accessible manner. Students of all abilities will gain from using it."
The Everything Policy team is refining Madison based on teacher and student feedback, with the goal of making it available to all Policy Education Program participants beginning in the fall of 2026.
