Celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day with the Ukrainian National Museum!

CHICAGO - illiNews -- Start your Ukrainian Independence weekend festivities right by joining us for the opening reception for Ukrainian artist Oleh Chuyko on Friday, August 23rd at 7:00 p.m.

This will be Olehs' second exhibit at the Museum and will feature 40 silk paintings & graphics  that will be available for purchase.

"The paintings he has created speak special artistic language which needs no translation.  Their secret is explained by their being saturated with good, mild and loving mood.' Maria Klimchak curator of the Ukrainian National Museum.

Since 2013 Oleh has been teaching as a Professor at the Design Department at the Institute of the Arts of the Precarpathian V. Stefanyk National University. The rest of his time is spent creating and perfecting is craft of silk painting, drawing, painting and design.
