Michael Finney said, "Readers had questions about who and how at the end of Bloody Sepulchre, I think For the Love of God reveals the answers. We get to learn a lot about characters that appeared in the first story while being introduced to the expanding cast."
For the Love of God will also be released as an audiobook with narration-only and audio-play versions in the near future. Listeners can expect the release to be available on all audiobook platforms such as Apple Books, Audible, Barnes & Noble, and KOBO.

Finney added, "I'm really happy to finally get this turned out. I wish it had been completed earlier this year, but it's coming out less than a month after the target release window that I planned last year. I have already recorded the narration for the audiobook and will begin production on that imminently."
