With over three years of developing and mentoring young women, this Mother of two and author knows the power of personal development and the importance of empowering young ladies to be leaders at a young age. Offering social-emotional workshops that teach life skills, leadership, and self-confidence, she has fed, lead and guided over 1,000 African American girls from the at-risk neighborhood. Seeking to eliminate the long term effects of childhood trauma, Asha seeks to repair and rebuild our communities from the inside out. With hopes to open the Chrysalis Center for Girls, a community center and safe haven, she began hosting a fundraiser to fund her vision.
