Noble World Foundation Links Constitutional Religious Discrimination to Global Terrorism in UN Appeal

CHICAGO - illiNews -- Terrorism is often linked to ideology, radicalization, poverty, or unrest. Yet one overlooked factor is how national constitutions quietly fuel extremism. Noble World Foundation (NWF) urges the United Nations (UN) to confront this overlooked legal root—starting with Pakistan.

On May 19, 2025, Shiv R. Jhawar, founder of NWF, submitted an open letter to the United Nations Human Rights Council (Ref: b043dr3p), urging action against Pakistan's constitutional religious supremacy—a human rights violation. NWF is the first to publicly expose this legal injustice as a root cause of extremism.

Pakistan's Constitution enforces religious exclusion: Article 41(2) limits the presidency to Muslims, while Article 91 bars non-Muslims from becoming Prime Minister. This institutionalizes discrimination, signaling to minorities that they do not fully belong.

When a nation legally favors one religion, it fosters the belief that only one religion deserves power—justifying violence. The law becomes a silent enabler of terrorism.

The global community has acted against terrorism—but not against the legal systems that help nurture it. In 1948, the UN adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, affirming all people are born free and equal. Yet constitutions that deny this principle still exist.

Religion is taught, not innate. We are born and die without it. Regardless of religion or nationality, all blood runs red—shared humanity fosters peace.

Islam began in 610 A.D.—there were no Muslims before Prophet Muhammad (570–632 A.D.). God existed long before any religion was created. This truth is expressed in Building a Noble World by Shiv R. Jhawar: "No one is born into this world with a religion engraved on their skin. To God, all paths are valid. Who was God before the birth of the founder of your religion?"

Swami Muktananda (1908–1982) rejected religious exclusivity: "God never made an agreement with any of these religions… He would not have signed a contract with any religious founder saying, 'You are my exclusive salesman.'" He further clarified: "Meditation is for realizing the Truth—for realizing your own Self. You do not give up your religion. Meditation is the universal religion of the inner Self."

Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (1836–1886) practiced Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity and concluded: "I have practiced all religions and found that all lead to the same God, though through different paths."

NWF urges the UN to declare Pakistan's Articles 41(2) and 91(3) in violation of international human rights law.

Ending terrorism requires removing its legally protected religious supremacy, not just targeting its terrorists or weapons. The time to act is now.
