POMONA, Calif. - illiNews -- JE Reel Drivelines is proud to announce its partnership with Off-Road Motorsports Youth Foundation (OMYF) in sponsoring an off-road motorsport program for youth. Through this sponsorship, JE Reel will provide driveshafts and mentorship to participants of the OMYF program. The goal of this program is to create an educational program that teaches children about safety, principles of mechanics, and the importance of teamwork while also having fun. The OMYF program will include a fully functional team that will race in the Baja 1000 in the trophy truck class, providing a pathway to a fun and rewarding career in offroad motorsports.
OMYF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational and educational programs for young people aged 12–22 who are interested in off-road motorsports. The founder and CEO, Preston Lewis is a cancer survivor and was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 15. The Make-a-Wish Foundation helped Lewis form the OMYF non-profit organization to successfully launch the OMYF program. In order to provide a complete educational experience for OMYF participants, JE Reel and OMYF are seeking industry professionals from all walks of life to teach the youth in the following areas

In addition to volunteer mentors, OMYF is in need of further sponsorships in the following areas
"We're giving kids a new opportunity. Kids that don't fit into the college plan," says Lewis. By sponsoring the OMYF program more youth will get an opportunity in a great career. Lewis sees this program being a life changing experience for youth, "They're just gonna pick it up, grow themselves into something much bigger than they ever dreamed of."
