As the thirteenth college to join the ICATT Network, Kaskaskia College enhances the ability to better serve companies in southern Illinois
CHICAGO - illiNews -- Industry Consortium for Advanced Technical Training (ICATT), the leading apprenticeship program in the Midwest for high-tech manufacturers and companies with complex technologies or logistics, expands its college base and welcomes Kaskaskia College to its network.
Kaskaskia College, located in south central Illinois, enhances the opportunity to better serve high-tech manufacturing companies in southern Illinois by offering apprenticeships in the mechatronics field. By joining the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, high-tech manufacturing companies will be able to implement a workforce development strategy that provides a pipeline of skilled talent over time.
"Kaskaskia College is excited to participate in the ICATT Apprenticeship Program," said Nicolas Farley, Alumni and Dean of Career & Technical Education at Kaskaskia College. "This program gives students a pathway to a successful high wage, in-demand career right here in our district. It is an opportunity for students to earn an industry-recognized credential and get experience all at the same time."
