Flanagan's experience of setting up and growing the IoT and edge solutions business for Dell Technologies to be a key benefit for IOTech
EDINBURGH, Scotland - illiNews -- Marc Flanagan, an IT executive with Carc Consulting with more than 25 years of industry experience, has joined IOTech Systems on a consultancy basis. He will help drive and develop the company's Partner Ecosystem and go-to-market strategy.
With locations in the United Kingdom, United States and Taipei, IOTech is a leading provider of open edge software solutions that help users build, deploy and manage at-scale edge software systems.
Flanagan will set up and develop key partnerships in EMEA, globally facilitating the growth and expansion of IOTech's leading-edge software solutions market. He will also help with the strategic direction of the organization.
Before coming to IOTech, Flanagan spent nine years at Dell Technologies, the last five of which he worked in the fast-evolving IoT and edge arena. During that time, he set up the business in EMEA, hired a strong team and grew the most successful global region. Flanagan recently left Dell and set up CARC Consulting to help organizations on their IoT, edge and digital transformation journeys.

"The exposure and experience Marc gained during his time at Dell means he has an excellent 360-degree view of the IoT and edge marketplace from both a technical, commercial and strategic point of view," said IOTech CEO Keith Steele.
Flanagan worked with software and hardware companies on global projects and also with large SI's on both their go-to-market strategies and their key IoT projects. This experience prompted him to look at setting up CARC Consulting to help organizations navigate these areas.
"I'm thrilled to work with IOTech," Flanagan said. "I've known Keith and the team for some years from my time in Dell; I really liked and respected what they were doing in the marketplace by trying to make it easier for all these different hardware, software and cloud ecosystems to work together in the IoT world. When I made the tough decision to leave Dell – after a fantastic nine years – and set up CARC Consulting, I had some discussions with Keith and we quickly agreed there were a number of areas I could add some value to what they were doing."
Steele added that Flanagan brings a wealth of experience to IOTech. "Having worked with Marc for some time now, I'm sure he will be a very valuable addition to our team," he said. "We're all really looking forward to having him help drive forward the success of the business as we roll out exciting, new products and global partnerships"
