~ On Wednesday, Oct. 4, Naperville Police conducted surveillance on two Ulta Beauty stores in the city after being notified by other law enforcement of a group of individuals in a black Mercedes committing retail thefts at two regional Ulta Beauty stores.
The suspects were observed entering the Naperville Ulta Beauty and exiting with two baskets of allegedly stolen merchandise. Officers blocked the suspect vehicle and arrested three individuals, charging each with (2) counts of felony retail theft and one (1) count of felony burglary.

The suspects were identified as Jayla M. Alston, 20, from the 900 block of E. 104th Street in Chicago; Skylar L. Escoe, 19, from the 3100 block of W. Polk Street in Chicago; and Darielle L. Wrice, 19, from the 6400 block of S. Bell Street in Chicago. Wrice was additionally charged with attempted criminal damage to government property and driving without a valid license/permit after hitting a Naperville Police vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.
All three were released on pre-trial release and police are continuing to investigate their possible involvement in other recent retail thefts with additional charges pending.
The Naperville Police Department reminds that a charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
