At approximately 7:38 a.m. on March 14, 2021, officers from the Naperville Police Department responded to Jay's Liquor store, located at 535 Fairway Drive #139, for the report of a burglar alarm activation. Responding officers arrived to find the glass on the back door of the business smashed out. Officers then observed a male subject crawling through the broken back door with a crow bar in hand. The male fled, running through the store, out the front door and across North Aurora Road toward a wooded area. The subject attempted to flee on foot after hiding in the wooded area and was apprehended without incident. There were no proceeds taken from the store.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

- Johnny Lee Robinson III, 29, of the 2900 block of Stonewater Drive Naperville, IL was charged with one (1) felony count of Burglary and one (1) misdemeanor count of Criminal Damage to Property.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
