Red Oak Opportunity Foundation (ROOF) gives $65,000 in donations to local nonprofit organizations for 2020.
SAN FRANCISCO - illiNews -- Red Oak Realty, the leading independent real estate brokerage in the San Francisco East Bay, has granted over $65,000 to local nonprofits. These contributions were distributed through the Red Oak Opportunity Foundation (ROOF), Red Oak's charitable foundation that gives back to the East Bay communities in which it serves.
The grantees received the following donations: Rising Sun Center for Opportunity was awarded $20,000, YES received $5,000, SOS! Richmond $20,000, California Fire Safe Council $10,000, and Lava MaeX $10,000.
"We're excited to donate to these organizations that are helping not only our local communities but our future generations," said CEO and owner Vanessa Bergmark. Red Oak agents, staff, clients, partners and friends contribute to the funds raised each year.

"Homelessness is a huge problem in East Bay neighborhoods," said Daniel Barth of SOS! Richmond. "We work towards moving people from their cars and tents into RVs and cabins. Funds donated will enable us to register and loan out RVs so that people can be safer on their pathway to housing."
For over 35 years, ROOF has been giving back to East Bay communities by donating to local nonprofits that might not receive significant funding from larger establishments. Since inception ROOF has distributed over $1.5 million across the East Bay, providing support to the unhoused, training for the unemployed, and educational resources to those in need, to name just a few.
