Ricky Cook's top 50 single climbing high on Country Music Radio Charts across the Country.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - March 12, 2019 - illiNews -- Country traditionalist Ricky Cook was born and raised in Oakdale, Tennessee, atop the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee. Cook found a passion for country music at the age of 8 with the help of his songwriting grandmother, who played a big role in crafting his talent. After many odd jobs in his hometown, Cook left Oakdale to follow his passion for music. He immediately realized he still had to pay the bills and landed a job on a horse farm in Kentucky. His other great passion besides music was horses, so Cook quickly became a very successful horse trainer in Kentucky and had his first American Saddlebred World Champion Horse that first year. This was followed by many Blue Ribbon wins.

Cook has been influenced throughout his lifetime by Conway Twitty, George Strait, Dolly Parton, and Loretta Lynn. His debut single to country radio, "Thanks A Lot, Loretta" was rooted with the traditional country music feel, but did not stop mainstream radio stations from spinning the record.
