NEW YORK - illiNews -- OneQuantum LLC today announced the fourth Women in Quantum virtual summit on March 9 -11, once again featuring more than one dozen noted speakers and panelists and this time adding a unique career fair that will pair employers in the emerging quantum industry with women desiring or progressing in careers in quantum computing.
A stellar lineup of sponsors enables the three-day program to be free to attend for those who RSVP to www.onequantum.org/wiq-summits. The main sponsors, Zapata Computing and Zurich Instruments, are joined by Strangeworks, IQM, QC Ware, Quantum Brilliance, D-Wave, SeeQC, Xanadu and Honeywell.
Among the speakers will be founders of prominent quantum technology companies, government representatives, investors and leading academicians working within quantum information science. Attendees will range from students at the undergraduate level to research scientists to C-suite executives. Truly an international summit, speakers and audience will span the globe, coming from North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.

Day 2 of the summit is focused on Quantum Machine Learning to explore the applications of quantum computing within artificial intelligence. And Day 3 is entirely dedicated to the APAC region.
Three successful global summits have been held since Women in Quantum, a chapter of OneQuantum, formed last Spring. "We believe the incredible response to our Women in Quantum events means women are embracing the opportunities that can be found in this nascent technology industry," said Denise Ruffner, senior advisor at OneQuantum. "We are proud to support women in quantum by offering them a community to share ideas and empower their success in the field. Our Summits to date have been attended by men as well, and all are certainly welcome to participate."
Ruffner noted that there is tremendous enthusiasm for the upcoming WIQ Career Fair, which will be held at the end of each day, following the keynotes and panels. "Companies in the quantum field are all striving to add talented individuals and finding women is even more challenging, given the smaller number currently involved. Companies are eager to present their company culture and specific career opportunities to the women who will attend the Summit. As for those seeking a new or different job in the field, this is a perfect opportunity as well."

Prior to the Summit, women interested in the career fair are invited to submit their resumes to receive guidance leading to meetings with prospective employers.
Another innovation this time is a 30-minute, easy-to-understand session beginning each of the three days. Led by a professional woman from a company in quantum information science, the sessions are aimed at those with interest and curiosity but minimal background or experience in quantum.
"We are reaching out to a full spectrum of women, from the curious to the accomplished – and everything in between," said André M. König, founder of OneQuantum.
