2025 Solar Farm Summit attendees will be the first to see the new documentary film Save the Farm, Save the Future at McCormick Place in Chicago Monday August 4 at 4PM.
CHICAGO - illiNews -- The 2025 Solar Farm Summit, North America's Agrivoltaics Expo and a farming-first solar forum, will host the global premiere of Save the Farm, Save the Future on August 4th at 4PM at McCormick Place in Chicago. The brand new documentary from Free Range Films digs deeply into the modern challenges of farming and ranching in Colorado, how emerging dual-use methods are building solar arrays that incorporate agriculture in mutually beneficial ways capable of redoubling the resilience of our food system, as well as the difficulties of scaling the promise of "agrivoltaics" to its full potential for America's farmers.
Save the Farm, Save the Future follows Colorado farmers and ranchers—from sheep and cattle ranchers to peach growers and small organic farmers—as they explore agrivoltaics, the promising new approach that combines solar power and agriculture on the same land.

Filmmaker Chad Weber worked with the team behind breakthrough American solar farm, Jack's Solar Garden, for four years exploring this question, and Save the Farm, Save the Future is the incredible result.
Created in collaboration with the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center and funded in part by the Walton Family Foundation, Save the Farm, Save the Future is just over 50 minutes long and will show for the very first time during 2025 Solar Farm Summit at McCormick Place in Chicago. American agrivoltaics pioneer Byron Kominek will emcee this feature event exclusive to Solar Farm Summit attendees, which will be immediately followed by the 2025 North American Agrivoltaics Awards ceremony and reception.
