CHICAGO ~ Chicago, IL - The City of Chicago has reaffirmed its commitment to being a sanctuary for reproductive choice. In a joint effort with Alderman Conway, Mayor Lori Lightfoot's administration has successfully designated Family Planning Associates as a noise-sensitive zone, providing protection for the right to choose. This amendment to the city's ordinance was backed by both the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Department of Public Health.
Mayor Lightfoot expressed her gratitude to the Advisory Council on Women and their reproductive justice advocates, including Personal PAC, Chicago Abortion Fund, and Planned Parenthood of IL.
