~ The City of Naperville is pleased to announce the promotion of Pam Gallahue as the new Deputy City Manager and the hiring of Blaine Wing as the new Human Resources Director. Both Gallahue and Wing are well-suited to oversee the City's staff and daily operations while working toward Naperville's long-term goals and planning for the future.
Gallahue has been a part of Naperville's municipal government for 27 years, having served in many roles in the Police Department, Transportation, Engineering and Development Business Group, City Clerk's Office, Information Technology Department, and Community Services Department. She is humbled to have been selected for this new role.
"I have been fortunate to work in five different departments, be assigned complex and unique projects, and build positive relationships across the organization and with community members," said Gallahue. "I have learned so much about people and process from my various roles and I will bring all my experiences to the deputy city manager position."

Wing has 23 years of public sector experience under his belt. He started his career in Michigan at the City of Battle Creek before moving to Illinois to serve as Assistant to the Manager in Flossmoor. He then served as Assistant Village Administrator for Cary, Assistant Village Manager for Oak Brook, Director of Human Resources for Des Plaines, and most recently was City Manager for Rochester in Michigan.
City Manager Doug Krieger believes that both Gallahue and Wing will contribute greatly to Naperville's successes for years to come. "Filling leadership roles is a particularly important task," said Krieger. "We strive as a City to hire the best of the best to ensure that the level of service our residents enjoy is maintained while also taking data-driven and innovative approaches to problems to enhance our community's future."
