CHICAGO, Feb. 12, 2025 ~ The 2025 Chicago Auto Show was not only a showcase of the latest and greatest in the automotive industry, but it also served as a platform for giving back to the community. The highly anticipated First Look for Charity gala, held on the evening before the show opened to the public, raised an impressive $2.45 million dollars for 18 local charities.
According to Kelly Webb Roberts, chairwoman of the 2025 Chicago Auto Show, "This night is all about raising funds to support 18 local charities that do so much good within our communities." The black-tie event was attended by members of the Chicagoland new-car dealers and other prominent figures in the industry.
First Look for Charity offered attendees an exclusive preview of the Chicago Auto Show before it opened to the public. With tickets priced at $325 each, guests were treated to gourmet food from local Chicago restaurants, live music, and premium drinks. They also had the opportunity to win two brand-new vehicles through a raffle. Michael Schultz walked away with a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV from Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers while Marco Onofre won a 2025 Hyundai Palisade from Chicago and Northwest Indiana Hyundai Dealers.

Since its inception 33 years ago, First Look for Charity has raised over $65 million for various local charities. This year's beneficiaries included organizations such as Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, Habitat for Humanity, and Special Olympics Illinois.
But giving back doesn't stop at this one event. The Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) and new-car dealers continue their support throughout the year through their program called Chicagoland Dealers Care. This program helps match donations made by CATA dealer members to charities within their communities.
