SAN FRANCISCO - illiNews -- St. James Infirmary is a peer-based occupational health and safety clinic for sex workers of all genders.
It is our mission to meet the needs of people engaged in the sex trade through advocacy, direct services, and social justice.
Thanks to their extraordinary efforts during St. James Infirmary's expansion for our 20th anniversary, we are proud to announce the promotion of two of SJI's most dedicated staff members to help move us into a new era for St. James Infirmary: Anita O'Shea and Myron Parker. After seven years of service with St. James Infirmary as a Registration Coordinator and Executive Assistant in addition to work with the organizing collective Ships in the Night, Anita O'Shea aka DJ Durt is bringing a breadth of crucial experience and a profound love for the community to her new role as Director of Programs. Additionally, Myron Parker has been with nonprofits serving the LGBTQI+ community and those living with HIV and Hepatitis C before joining the St. James Infirmary family a year ago, first as a volunteer and then as Registration Assistant, and we're proud to now welcome him into his new role as Executive Assistant.
