CHICAGO ~ Chicago Mourns the Loss of Heroic Police Officer
Last night, the city of Chicago was struck with tragedy as a young police officer lost their life in the line of duty. Mayor Brandon Johnson, along with Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling, Deputy Mayor of Community Safety Garien Gatewood, and other city leaders gathered to pay their respects and mourn the loss of this brave officer.
In a statement released this morning, Mayor Johnson expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of a member of the Chicago Police Department. He stated that the entire city joins him in mourning this profound loss and that the brave men and women of the department risk their lives every day to keep Chicago safe.

The mayor also promised justice for the officer's family, for the city, and for the police department. He emphasized that Chicago stands with the family and loved ones of the fallen officer, as well as with the entire police department during this difficult time.
