CHICAGO ~ Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has announced the addition of two highly qualified individuals to the city's federal affairs team. Dominique Warren will serve as the Director of Federal Affairs, while Santiago Ginebra Campillo will take on the role of Senior Legislative Assistant.
According to Mayor Johnson, these additions will greatly enhance Chicago's federal affairs operations and strengthen the city's ability to advocate for its priorities in Washington. He expressed confidence that Warren and Campillo's expertise and experience at the highest levels of government will be game-changing assets for Chicago.
Warren brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role. He previously served as the National Deputy Director of Government Relations at the Service Employees International Union, where he led federal policy on important issues such as climate/environmental justice, immigration, and economic policy. He also coordinated electoral campaigns for SEIU and worked closely with various federal agencies, including the White House.

In addition, Warren has a strong background in local government, having served as a mayoral fellow under the Richard M. Daley Administration in 2010. He holds a degree from Morehouse College and attended the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.

With a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, a Master of Government and Public Policy from Universidad Panamericana and Syracuse University, and a bachelor's degree in public administration and government from Universidad Anáhuac, Campillo is well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of his new role.
