"As I travel our state, I am moved by the support for my campaign and thankful that people are recognizing my commitment to hard work and public service. Dowell announced endorsements from Congressman Danny Davis, Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun, Proviso Township Democrats, Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry, State Senator Mattie Hunter, Chicago Ald. Chris Taliafiero, Ald. Rod Sawyer, Ald. Scott Waguespack, Ald. Emma Mitts, Ald. Derrick Curtis, Ald. Jason Ervin, Ald. Carrie Austin, State Representative Lamont Robinson, and State Representative Kam Buckner.
Dowell added, "I am humbled and honored to have the support of people around the State of Illinois. I am especially proud of our growing support from the Black community and our leaders.

I'm excited about our momentum -- and in the coming weeks, we will be releasing plans and ideas on how we will innovate the Secretary of State's office in this post-COVID era. As Secretary of State, I will focus on increased access for communities that need it most, strengthening the state's literacy programs, and implementing cutting edge technology so the public can access services online, instead of inline."
