October is ADHD Awareness Month - Time to celebrate Neurodiversity!

FOREST PARK, Ill. - illiNews -- Families familiar with the disorder will love the message of empowerment, acceptance, and hope that this book conveys for children with ADHD. This book is a wonderful tool to invite dialogue in homes, classrooms, and libraries, for those unfamiliar with the condition and to shine a light on children's mental and behavioral health.

Author Angela D. Kohn is a Registered Nurse, mental health wellness advocate, and founder of a nonprofit. She wrote James and His ADHD Superpowers to bring awareness to attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, a condition that she and her young son both shares. Angela's book provides a different perspective of ADHD, a neurodevelopmental disorder faced by more than 6 million children worldwide that is traditionally considered a disadvantage, and demonstrates how people with ADHD can be just as successful as those without it when they learn the techniques that will help them flourish.
