~ Naperville residents are invited to attend the annual Public Safety Open House on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the city's Public Safety Campus. The event, hosted by the Naperville Police and Fire Departments, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and promises to be a fun and educational day for the whole family.
The open house will feature a variety of activities and giveaways, as well as demonstrations by Naperville's public safety teams. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the Fire Department, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, conduct a water rescue and battle a flashover fire. The Police Department will also be showcasing their skills with a mock traffic stop and DUI arrest, as well as demonstrating the use of drones and tasers.
