SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - illiNews -- Kari-Ann Ryan has been an active and involved member of the Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) for over 10 years.  As the Corporate Brand Ambassador for Mid-West Moving & Storage and Chicago Office Movers, she manages all the marketing and branding initiatives for both companies.

About the Laurie Stone Woman of the Year Award

The SBA Laurie Stone Woman of the Year Award was announced as a new award in December of 2017 and this year it's second ever winner.  The Laurie Stone Woman of the Year award recognizes a woman who has excelled in her career, field, or passion, and whose commitment, vision, and talents make her a true leader in her community. This is awarded at the yearly Toast of Schaumburg Event.

About Kari-Ann Ryan

In the SBA, Kari-Ann has served on committees, volunteered for events, won the Ambassador of the Year award in 2012, and proved herself as a contributing member of the association.  She was a founding member of the SBA's elite Ambassador Team and chaired the group for 2 years during its beginnings.  Kari-Ann also started and Co-Chairs a non-compete networking group of close-knit connectors within the SBA called Power Hour Professionals. MWM and COM co-sponsor the quarterly SBA Woman In Business luncheon with Kari-Ann at the helm to host and help organize the event and speakers.

Within her community she runs the number 1 top fundraising team (Team Lost Souls) for the Northwest Suburban Walk To End Alzheimer's. She is a consistent top personal fundraiser and the Community Chairperson of this walk for the 5^th year. Kari-Ann is also the Community Outreach Coordinator for the backyard EXPERIENCE, a nonprofit in Schaumburg who inspire creativity and imagination in children of all ages and levels. She is on multiple BOD's including the SBA and the Elk Grove Village Chamber. She just completed 5 years as Cub Scout Den Leader, and runs a local food drive for Mid-West Moving & Storage partnering with Move for Hunger for the past 2 years continuing to grow it year over year.
